Saturday Roundup

Life, my friends, is looking up.

Of course, as you know, I got the new job.  It’s more money.  In fact, my salary will be almost doubled.

Then, on Friday, I got wonderful news!  My mortgage is going to be modified!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We are going to save $474. 64 a month!!!  AND we don’t have to pay the mortgage in December!!!!!

That’s a real come up!

I am seriously going to pay off all of these bills, get out of debt, and stop living paycheck to paycheck!I’m so excited, I’ve already started on our new budget!!!  I can’t wait!!!!!

In Pookah news, he seemed to enjoy his birthday.  And we got his first haircut!!! My baby was such a big boy!!  He didn’t cry at all!!!  We kept his celebration pretty low key and just sang Happy Birthday and had cake.  Which he refused to touch.  I’ve really got to work on table food with him.

I refused to go out in the Black Friday mess, so I’ve got a lot of running around to do.

Have a great Saturday folks!!!

Sunday

Soooo.

It’s Sunday.

Nothing much going on around here.

I just won the battle of the morning: Pookah is taking a nap.

Mommy 1 Pookah 1.

I give him a 1 because he fought the nap from 10 am till noon.  So he won until he couldn’t fight me anymore.

On another note, I got the position.  Let me explain this full time position in nursing world.  I am going to be working what’s called Baylor.  You work every weekend and get paid full time hours.  At my hospital, they called it WEO.  I am doing WEO +1.  Which means, I give up every Saturday and Sunday night and for extra money, work one night during the week also.   It makes me full time.  3 nights a week.  I can do this.  I think I get about 10 weekends off a year.  So, there is that.  More importantly, this will lessen the fights between me and C-Dub about him getting home from work on time for me to be able to get to work on time.  And….there will be extra money.

I mean, I calculated what my check is going to be and almost passed out.

We have been basically living paycheck to paycheck for the last 12 months(since I got laid off).  With this new position, we will be in a BETTER position that we were before.  After I pay off all delinquent bills that is.

OMG.

This is such a load off.

I start this position in two weeks.  Just in time for Christmas.

Wow.

I am so excited.

For the money that is.  For the stress to be lifted off of my shoulders.  For me not to have to rob Peter to pay Paul anymore.  And if my mortgage gets modified in the meantime, WOW.  Life will be excellent.

Looking forward to better times.  2011 is already looking fabulous!
